The Swiss soprano Gabrielle Weber specialized in interpretation of Renaissance, baroque and classical music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis after having graduated in art history and musicology. In various international master classes she further intensified her practice in Early music as well as in contemporary music. Later she earned a degree in Théâtre Musical and voice at the Bern University of Arts where she studied with Georges Aperghis and Marianne Kohler.


Gabrielle Weber has been engaged as a soloist in Switzerland and has also performed in Italy, France, Germany, Austria and Portugal. She interprets works from the Renaissance, baroque and the classical periods as well as modern music and premieres in concert, chamber music and musical theatre.


Gabrielle Weber’s repertoire includes both key works of oratorio and opera by G.F. Händel, J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart and Claudio Monteverdi and major modern works such as by Leos Janacek, Igor Strawinsky, György Kurtag and Georges Aperghis.
